The Waggle - Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 20th, 2026

Artifex Technologies LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the “The Waggle” mobile application for iOS and Android, and any related services we provide through the application (collectively, the “Service”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Service. It does not apply to information collected by third-party publishers, news websites, browser providers, app marketplaces, operating systems, or other third parties that may be linked to or accessible from the Service.

When you open a third-party news article or website from within the Service, that third party’s privacy policy and terms will govern its collection and use of your information.

  1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  1. Information You Provide Directly to Us

When you create an account or otherwise provide information through the Service, we may collect:

first name;

last name; and

email address.

We use this information to create and manage your account, identify you within the app, communicate with you about your account or the Service, and provide app functionality.

If you contact us for support or legal/privacy requests, we may also collect the information you include in your message and any records needed to respond to your request.

  1. Analytics and Usage Information

We currently use only analytics and app-performance reporting tools provided by Apple and Google in connection with the Service.

These analytics may include app usage, engagement, installs, sessions, crashes, diagnostics, performance trends, and other aggregate or device/app-related metrics made available through Apple and Google platform tools. We use this information to understand how the Service performs, improve stability and usability, diagnose issues, and evaluate general app usage trends.

We do not state here that we use third-party marketing analytics or newsletter tracking tools beyond Apple and Google platform analytics unless and until that changes.

  1. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect Directly From You Unless Needed

Unless you voluntarily provide it to us or a feature clearly requires it, we do not intend through this Privacy Policy to collect from you:

precise geolocation;

contacts;

photos or camera content;

microphone recordings;

SMS or call logs; or

payment card details directly through us.

If the Service later introduces features that require additional categories of information, we may update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide additional notice or choices.

  1. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

create, maintain, and manage your account;

provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;

personalize basic in-app functionality associated with your account;

respond to support requests, legal requests, and user inquiries;

monitor app usage, stability, diagnostics, and performance;

detect, prevent, investigate, or address bugs, abuse, fraud, security incidents, or technical issues;

comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service; and

communicate with you regarding transactional or service-related matters.

We do not currently send newsletters or promotional email campaigns. If we choose to offer newsletters, promotional messages, product updates, or marketing communications in the future, we will provide users with any legally required notice and choice, including an opt-out or unsubscribe mechanism where applicable.

  1. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not rent your personal information to data brokers or third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  1. Service Providers and Operational Support

We may share information with vendors or service providers that help us operate, secure, maintain, or support the Service, but only to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf and subject to appropriate contractual or legal restrictions where applicable.

  1. Apple and Google Platform Services

Because the Service is distributed through iOS and Android ecosystems and uses Apple- and Google-provided analytics/reporting tools, certain app-related usage, diagnostic, or performance data may be processed through Apple or Google platform services, subject to their own policies and platform terms.

  1. Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;

enforce our agreements, policies, or rights;

detect, investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues; or

protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the Company, or others.

  1. Business Transfers

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.

  1. Third-Party Content and External Websites

The Service is a news aggregation platform that displays information from third-party publishers and may link users to third-party websites or articles.

If you tap through to a publisher site, article, or browser tool, including translation tools made available by Safari, Android browsers, publishers, or device platforms, your information may be collected and processed by those third parties under their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or data practices of third-party publishers, websites, browsers, operating systems, or app marketplaces.

  1. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

maintain your account;

provide the Service;

respond to requests and disputes;

enforce our agreements; and

comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete it, anonymize it, or de-identify it, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs.

  1. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We may provide you with reasonable access to, correction of, update of, or deletion of your account information, subject to legal and operational limitations.

You may also:

update certain account information through the Service, if that functionality is available;

contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information; and

opt out of future marketing or newsletter emails if we introduce them later.

If we begin offering newsletters or promotional emails in the future, each such communication will include an unsubscribe method where required by law.

  1. Account Deletion Requests

If you would like to request deletion of your account or associated personal information, you may contact us using the contact details below or use in-app account deletion tools if they are available.

Please note that we may retain certain information as necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, detect security incidents, prevent fraud or abuse, or complete legitimate internal recordkeeping.

  1. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission over the internet, mobile network, or electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Service.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy changes any age or eligibility requirements stated in our Terms of Service.

  1. International Users

If you use the Service from outside the country where we operate, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, subject to applicable law.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and may provide additional notice where required by law.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
